The story is still developing, but it is clear that there has been a really exciting find in Southern Oregon - an intact, mostly
complete and original 1939 Hupmobile Skylark, built by the Hayes Body Corporation in early 1939.

This car has all the hallmarks of a 1939 Skylark - Windshield wipers over the windshield instead of on the cowl, a 1938
Hupmobile banjo-style steering wheel, taillights mounted on the trunklid rather than on the rear body, and a Cord-style trunk
handle and license plate bracket.

Eric Johnson has just returned from a personal inspection of the car, and his story and photographs will be on this site very
soon. In the meantime, here are a couple of small photos to get everybody excited!
